Real technique. Real mentorship. Real business coaching. Neftali Smith trains the next generation of PMU artists — not just how to hold a machine, but how to build a career that lasts.
Neftali built Desert Diva from the ground up — no shortcuts, no formula, just years of trial, error, and lessons learned the hard way. The mistakes she made building a real business are exactly what her students get to skip. The PMU Academy exists because technical skill alone doesn't build a career. You need real mentorship, honest feedback, and someone who's already solved the business problems you haven't hit yet — so what you build is something meaningful, not just a side job.
Most PMU training teaches you to hold a machine and stops there. The majority of talented artists who leave this industry don't fail because their strokes weren't good enough — they fail because no one ever taught them how to price their work, market themselves, or build a client base that actually pays the bills.
That's the gap Desert Diva Academy was built to close. I built this business from the ground up, through every mistake there was to make — and my mentorship exists so you don't have to learn everything the hard way I did. Every student trains in real business fundamentals through Beauty Mark Media, alongside their technique, from day one.
Book a Free ConsultationTraining is self-paced, so you move at the speed you're ready for — but every student moves through the same core stages.
This program isn't for everyone, and we'd rather tell you that up front than let you find out three weeks in.
Technical skill is only part of this work. So much of what we do touches real vulnerability — clients healing from cancer treatment, correcting old PMU they're unhappy with, or simply nervous about a permanent decision on their face. Every Desert Diva-trained artist is mentored in how to hold space for that: how to have hard conversations, manage expectations with compassion, and recognize when a client needs more reassurance than a mirror can give. We believe this is just as important as your hand skills — and we teach it that way.
Text or call and simply say: "I'd like to learn about the PMU Academy." We'll set up a time to talk through the program and see if it's the right fit.
